Liteon SHD-16S1S sata, inside components

Hi,

i read in some of your review that you own a Liteon SHD-16S1S sata dvd-rom.
Do you have scans of the internal board of this drive?
I just want to take a look at components layout and part numbers.
I would be much appreciated, thanks.

BTW, i'm also searching for inside PCB scans of Samsung SH-D163A sata dvd-rom too.

Hi Geremia,

As for now I cannot help you with that, manufacturers are no longer interested in supplying us with DVD-ROM drives. Manufacturing cost is the same as for CD-RW drives, and market share for DVD-ROM drives is falling dramatically, especially when you compare those products to the prices of new DVDRW drives.

Btw, will you find interesting english version of our website?

You are right, today dvd-rom is unusefull for the most, anyway this liteon and samsung are new products and, as far as i know, half-size drive.
...but, if these drives can be replacement drives for xbox360, they should be usefull

About site, i really don't know if an english version could be interesting, because i can't understand anything polski, so can't valuate it , but i suppose that it's an interesting site because i know that polska people are good in deep analysis

We are thinking about english version of our site for long time, but that's means costs (unfortunately) ... So we have to only wait.
